Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas today (or tomorrow, wherever you are)! I've been staying at my holiday house for the last few days with my parents, uncle, grandma and two aunties. We had to go chainsaw down a tree from the forest the other day (it's legal here, hahaha) and it's definitely the best-looking Christmas tree we've had in a long time.

Had a chai latte for breakfast, then me and mum made our favourite Norwegian cinnamon buns, and everyone ate those outside with tea and coffee (they look like they're burnt in these pictures but they're just glazed/caramalised!). We usually do presents after breakfast, omg I was spoiled as fuck this year. I already got to open one last night, which was new a set of new pj shorts (as it always is, always on Christmas Eve), but today I also got --

• Gorman t-shirt/jumper/dress/pants - from parents
• Gold saltwater sandals - from my grandma/twin aunties
• JB Hi-Fi gift card (so buying new PS4 games) - from my uncle
• Grey speckled leggings/socks - from my best friend's/second family
• 3.5 x 8.5 inch watercolour sketchbook (to take to Europe next year!)/lingerie set - from mum
• This cube device that records colours and transfers them digitally to paint with - from dad
• Also various chocolates, candles and nice as fuck smelling soap from family friends, they're more of communal presents but I still get to use them!

Also we did KK a few weeks ago and Mary got me a super cute packet of lipgloss. I CAN'T WAIT TO WEAR ALL THIS STUFF HOLY SHIT SAJFGSAJhfgjshjsagf

We had a small lunch and a massive roast dinner this year, and like five courses of dessert hahaha. I spent most of the night lounging around and dying in the heat. There are no air conditioners up here :(

Made some cookies today! They're supposed to be edible hang-on-the-tree cookies but we just eat them. My dog eats them if we hang them on the tree anyway ahhahaha. In truth most of my decorations turned out pretty shit (except for these five), the green icing wasn't great. BUT THEY TASTE FUCKING GOOD. Recipe here!

Christmas cards

My family asked me to make some Christmas cards the other day so they could send them out to people, so they bought a pack of twenty plain cards for me to use. I spent all afternoon hand-painting minimalist designs in watercolour (with fineliner, white gel pen and glitter).
